There are a zillion things that some pairing fans make a big deal out of that aren't important. The most recent chapter (662)... there's nothing important in it pairing-wise. Some people are still freaking out over it one way or another though. The last similar chapter to this (where some fought over NaruHina/SasuSaku versus NaruSaku/SasuHina) wasn't important. This is not a romance story. There is very little actual romance and very few things that actually matter when it comes to the romance that does exist. Fans care and think about pairings a whole lot more than Kishimoto does. He's thinking about his overall story not pairings every time something happens (therefore, there are plenty of times us pairing fans see a moment that would blind-side Kishimoto; this happens to even actual romance authors a lot too). However, there's romance in the story (unlike some shonens) and when he's doing it, he's very blatant and obvious about it.
Since this is the thread for discussing NaruSaku, I'm only going to refer to what matters concerning NaruSaku in this thread that has actually occurred in the manga. There are only two things that matter when it comes to NaruSaku as I mentioned previously.
1) Sakura is not interested. There are many chapters that prove this fact and this has been consistent since her introduction in chapter 3 to the most recent time she got "prove it" back in chapter 631.
2) Naruto knows Sakura is not interested and has accepted that fact. There are quite a few chapters that "prove" this starting with chapter 183 and the most recent time being chapter 632 (or for those more "conservative" on the issue, then it would be 474).
There's really nothing else to discuss or even think about when it comes to NaruSaku. I can't make people stop stressing over unimportant things, but I will point out at times that you're worrying over nothing. In other words, there's a difference between fluff and substance. Squeeing over fluff (which this manga has a lot of) is something fans do. Squeeing over substance (which this manga does not have a lot of) is also something fans do. The story though only cares about substance, never about the fluff.I tend not to completely burst people's bubble when they're squeeing about unimportant NaruHina (or SasuSaku) things as I'll do it myself, but I know there's a difference between going "oohh this is so awesome/cute/great" (a.k.a. "fluff") versus "this actually means something for the story" (a.k.a. "substance"). That's why I will never agree with the idea that Kishimoto isn't clear or that Kishimoto trolls or whatever. Don't confuse "fluff" with "substance" and there will be a lot less moments of worry or thinking Kishimoto is trolling. Of course, because I have this attitude, I honestly don't care if someone squees over NaruSaku fluff or any other form of pairing fluff. This is what fans are supposed to do and that's what is supposed to be fun. No need to stress over others having their fun, especially when it's all that will ever happen.

About chapter 631

- I don't see why NS thinks 631 is such a big deal. I've heard the "she's a girl and she's my friend so technically is my GF" joke so many times and it's always said after someone specifically asks if the girl is your girlfriend. It's such a common saying it's ridiculous NS is taking it to mean something.
Granted, I don't think Naruto was making the joke himself, but that the joke lies within Naruto's genuine intention to make the distinction for his father, hence the "splitting hairs" which means "to make petty distinctions."
Yes, technically Naruto could have just said no and it be done with, but then how would Kishi make the joke he wanted? Minato randomly asking that would be pointless and weird if it wasn't at the very least a set up for a humorous callback joke.
Minato:*shows up and sees a girl healing his son* hey are you his GF?
Naruto: nope, just friends.
Minato: oh.
...point?
NS is trying to turn it into meaning Naruto is showing his romantic feelings, but his hesitation and blank face look says otherwise. Besides, NS says Naruto doesn't like people who lie to themselves. The question was if Sakura was his GF.
She clearly isn't, so for NS to twist it into meaning Naruto was more or less saying she is contradicts its own argument about Naruto hating lying to oneself. Not to mention it looks like Naruto is being disrespectful to Sakura for saying that to his dad in front of her, while knowing "she loves Sasuke so much".
Then NS takes a giant leap in logic on top of it by stating Sakura didn't mind and because she didn't say she wasn't and because she didn't add in a vehement "never!" That this means she has warmed up to the idea...wtf? Again, contradicting manga events for its own wonky interpretation.
It makes more sense that the joke lied in Naruto trying to explain the distinction to his dad and get cut off before finishing because Sakura hit him.
Otherwise NS is telling us that Naruto was being serious about his romantic feelings just then. Which it doesn't seem to understand is bad for the ship if so. Because if Naruto was seriously telling his dad he has romantic feelings for Sakura, then it must consider the fact that Sakura hit him for it.
(And no, its not because she is a romantic tsundere either, that also contradicts Sakura's character, Sakura has never hit someone out of romantic embarrasment, she is always gentle with the one she loves.)
Sakura hit him for stating his apparent true feelings? Sounds like she isn't interested NS.
Of course either way, she isn't interested...at least not without inserting things that never happened nor make sense in context.

^Lol! Thanks for answering! Anyway, according to NS, this is what is actually happening in the current situation. I have nothing against the fact that Sakura cries if Naruto dies. That would be actually very normal because she is a friend of him. But to force Sakura to be in love or to realize that she is in love with Naruto because of that is simply ridiculous.

I've never understood why NS thinks that ANY type of emotion directed toward Naruto from Sakura or vise versa = romantic. What? It wants everyone to lack any sort of empathy except for when it comes to love interests? It baffles me. So much.
You should have empathy for strangers, and especially for your friends.
I do not in any way ship NaruSaku, but if Naruto died, and Sakura didn't cry, I would be highly upset.

Eh, to me she's just saying looking back, she put Ron/Hermione more for wish fulfillment than anything. She probably never really considered Harry/Hermione. Personally, I like Romione and saw it coming a hundred miles away. Though Harmony wouldn't have been bad either if she'd given focus to them more because honestly, I always felt Hermione was more of a friend to Harry then Ron was, she was always by his side.
They could have been well matched. But I love Romione still and I love the dynamic between them so J.K I ain't mad. d:
But guys, if anything, NS will use this information to state that now Kishi will definitely make NS canon, to avoid any screw ups like Rowlings! (Apparently, NS commonly paraleled Harmony to NaruSaku to prove canonship up until Romione happened. "NS is as obvious endgame as Harmony!".)

I remember hearing that ns was like harmony but harry potter is different than naruto but i guess as usual it doesn't want to see it

What screw ups? As the author your word is law, you cannot screw up lol it is your story to control as you see fit, regardless of what anyone else may say. Yes you would want to please your fans but there is no way you can please everyone, and no good author would mess up their story just because others prefer it to be another way. 
The desperation...it is too great. Kishimoto is free to write his story how he thinks it should be written, whether we like it or not (both NH and NS), and to say he would do something like that (to me) is a bit disrespectful and imo would make the NaruSaku pairing meaningless because it wasn't something the author intended or wanted, just something he felt he had to do.

He just said what came to his mind, but not everybody is a fan of Harry Potter or/and Naruto. JK Rowling revealing something 6 years after about the pairings in her story has nothing to do with Naruto imo. Things which have been made outside the manga, like this OVA, influence what people think. And NS constantly stating that Sakura will realize that she loves Naruto sounds a bit brainwashing...
The current situation in Naruto shows that it will be probably Sakura's time to shine, by saving Naruto

I don't think Sakura will be able to save either of them, sure she has great medical ninjutsu, but she needs Chakra to heal, something that she doesn't have much of.

is it kidding me? she was doing her job as a medic. the cpr she gave naruto was to give him more oxygen to help the heart beat. in other words, she is sending chakra to naruto's heart by the incision she made to keep the heart alive and beating and the cpr was to send oxygen to naruto to keep him breathing. the heart is the organ which would send the oxygen right through the body especially the brain.

CPR=romantic kiss now guiz. Sakura is doing something to save his life and that's romantic and not at all inappropriate given the situation (being in a war and Naruto unconscious & dying)...but Naruto and Hinata holding hands after consoling is completely inappropriate if it's romantic because they are in a war.
NS and it's double standards again. But eh, let NS celebrate if it wants to. The CPR wasn't anything more than a medical decision. Sakura is holding his heart to pump chakra to him, she's been all business this whole time, she's been keeping it together.
Not even knowing his heart had stopped and remembering him in flashbacks caused this love epiphany we're supposed to be seeing. She just wants to save him because he's her friend and she wants to protect his Hokage dream. Nothing new.

Oh dude I am going to wait to see what NS says now, should be entertaining, when I saw it I thought, yeah NS is going to run around and celebrate, while I look in the grey area like most reasonable (not going there) we can safely say that it wasn't a NS moment, it is Sakura trying everything in her medical journal to save Naruto. so I will say this let the double standards flow, this chapter means nothing for NaruSaku.
