All Naruto SD was for me was bonus episodes while I waited for the manga, it was still enjoyable though.

I started getting into Naruto at the age of 13 but I dropped it for a loooooong while woohooo! I do gotta admit that my love for NH grew stronger thanks to the fillers Pre-TS (of which I had no idea the were fillers xD). I had dropped Naruto for awhile after the Pein arc because it kind of hit a dry spell after that, but I picked it back up when I found out about Sakura trying to kill Sasuke. Not a very large time gap. :P
