Re: Yaoi/Shounen-Ai fans?
Well, I'll talk a bit about my favorite yaoi pairs because, why not?
First, my OTP that has ruined my life: MakoHaru from Free!
Secondly, a pairing that I certainly wasn't aiming to ship AT ALL: Noiz/Aoba from Dramatical Murder (DMMD)
Then, there's the one pairing I couldn't help but like in a manga/anime that I swore I wouldn't get into shipping: TakaMido from Kuroko no Basuke
And lastly, there's all the pairings from this yaoi manga/anime (based off of a series of novels if my source is right) that I checked out, out of pure curiosity of what an actual yaoi manga was: Sekai-ichi Hatsuoki. It's a story with a lot of cliche's and they fall "in love" way too easily and quickly... so I don't freaking know why I got hooked with this story and can't wait for more. ._.
There's the main pairing, Onodera Ritsu and Takano Masamune.
Of the side pairings you have:
Hatori and Yoshino,
Kisa Shouta and Yukina Kou.
Lastly, Yokozawa Takafumi and Kirishima Zen.
First, my OTP that has ruined my life: MakoHaru from Free!
- Brief explanation:
- Free! is an anime about a high school swim club that is a sequel to the novel High Speed! when the boys were in elementary school. I don't even know how it happened, but before long I was shipping MakoHaru so hard that they jumped to be my number 1 OTP of all-time. They know each other better than anyone, when they argue it's hilariously cute, it's common to see them sharing food or drinks or snacks and they often have sleepovers. Their relationship is simply natural, and even the smallest of things they do for each other end up looking adorable and romantic. Haru soothes Makoto's fears, while Makoto encourages Haru to keep going. You can't have one without the other and they complement each other perfectly. Shipping this pairing is not about yaoi at all, (though I won't deny the fact that they are two hot b*tches is a major plus) it's about seeing their relationship is just beautiful. Even if it is not a yaoi anime, to me, they are as canon as a pairing can be without being "official".

Secondly, a pairing that I certainly wasn't aiming to ship AT ALL: Noiz/Aoba from Dramatical Murder (DMMD)
- "Brief" explanation:
- DMMD is a boy love game, that I think is based off of a novel? But don't take my word for it as I am not 100% sure. Anyway! This game is basically just a storyline that follows the main character, Aoba Seragaki, in this unusual world that looks ordinary, but it's far from it, in my opinion. First, you get the story's exposition and then you get to a certain point when you have to choose one of the four given "routes", and in each of them, Aoba will fall in love with a different guy.
I of course, was originally planning to watch (not play, since I just saw they playthrough on youtube) all of the routes. And I liked Aoba's best friend Koujaku the best, so I decided to leave his route for last and start with another character I quite liked: Noiz. Worst mistake of my life.
In Noiz's route, we get to see why Noiz has put up so many walls around himself and why he genuinely doesn't understand anyone's pain, so he doesn't know when he hurts them. We see Aoba breaking through all of his walls one by one, and falling in love with him in the process. There's sex, action and tears. Even their "bad ending" was beautiful in its own bloody and twisted way; because they were together forever. After this roller-coaster of emotions, how the heck could I not ship them? Furthermore, how in the world was I supposed to watch the other routes when this pairing already had my heart? The answer is, I couldn't. I still haven't watched the other routes (not even Koujaku's which I was interested in the most originally), and I seriously doubt I will at all.
The anime comes out this Summer, and I am seriously looking forward to it, but I am worried about how the whole deal with the 4 guys will be dealt with. I don't know how much yaoi the anime adaptation will have and I don't know if they will make Aoba actually end up with one of them, but if they do, I can only hope it will be Noiz.

Then, there's the one pairing I couldn't help but like in a manga/anime that I swore I wouldn't get into shipping: TakaMido from Kuroko no Basuke
- Brief explanation:
- Yes, of course I know Kuroko no Basuke has absolutely nothing to do with yaoi and no yaoi at all going on. I started it because I actually like basketball, and when you tell me there's an ongoing manga about basketball, you can bet your butt I'll get into it. The manga is everything I hoped for it to be and more, and the animation in the anime is superb. Most of the characters are really likeable and in most games I don't even know who to root for. Between all the characters with likeable personalities and different dynamics, these two stood out for me. They make me laugh so damn much. Finding out about their past and seeing how they got to be so close to have, in my honest opinion, the best duo teamwork in the manga just made me like them even more. I can't really put my finger on it, honestly, but I got used to seeing them together and I can't imagine them not being together anymore.

There's the main pairing, Onodera Ritsu and Takano Masamune.
- Brief explanation:
- 10 years ago, Onodera had this huge crush on his senpai, Takano, until one day "senpai noticed him". They became lovers but a huge misunderstanding caused them to break-up and Onodera to flee out of the country even. Now, they run into each other again when Onodera starts working on the manga editing department of an agency, and Takano is his editor-in-chief and hence, boss. There are a lot of hilarious and totally hot moments when Takano makes it his mission to make Onodera fall in love with him again. Basically, Onodera is a total tsundere and Takano is this stubborn sexy thing that won't take no for an answer.

Of the side pairings you have:
Hatori and Yoshino,
- Brief explanation:
- who are childhood best friends. Yoshino is a manga author and Hatori is his editor. Hatori confesses and Yoshino is comfortable with it because he's his best friend. They have plans to buy a house together and crap, but of course, not everything is sunshine and rainbows. I don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere on tumblr that something drastic involving rape happens between these two. Nothing like that has happened in the manga or the anime so far, so I don't even know if it'll be brought up, but for now, they are good.
- anime gif:
Kisa Shouta and Yukina Kou.
- brief explanation:
- Yukina is a 21-year-old art student, and Kisa is a 30-year-old manga editor who looks younger than he is. Kisa was a player who slept with anyone just because he liked their looks; hence, he didn't know what true love was and decided he didn't care to know as long as he could sleep around. But he started liking Yukina's face after he saw him working at a bookstore, and little by little he liked not only his face, but everything about him. The little prince charming is popular with girls, which makes Kisa feel insecure, but their relationship is pretty solid. Even though they don't see each other often since they are so busy, they still manage.
- Anime cap:
Lastly, Yokozawa Takafumi and Kirishima Zen.
- Brief explanation:
- Yokozawa was in love with Takano, having met him since college and having had a past relationship. But Takano turns him down because he's in love with Onodera, and Yokozawa is pretty depressed. That is until he falls for Kirishima, who is a widow and has a little daughter. Yokozawa and Kirishima are pretty close, and Kirishima's daugther gets along really well with Yokozawa. I don't know, I found this one particularly cute, and it's absolutely hilarious when they tease each other (mainly Kirishima teases Yokozawa, though). Anyway, it's still starting to develop and I see a lot of potential for this one.

Gravitation is the first shounenai manga I've ever read and I absolutely adore it. Shuichi and Eiri have such an unhealthy relationship but at the same time, it's so entertaining. I do ship some yaoi ships in non-yaoi anime as well.

I have so many yaoi ships it isn't even funny.
My main favorite is the crossover Hijack/Frostcup (Hiccup and Jack Frost from the DreamWorks movies How to Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians.
