Run or Dye
I'm going with a group of friends tomorrow morning at 9am to participate in The Run or Dye 5K run. When you get a certain point, they throw different color dye at you as you pass. It's suppose to be fun (in nicer weather).
Am I crazy? Because it snowed today, and tomorrow the weather is not going to get above 40*F, and it's suppose to rain the whole day too.
Usually this time of year, it's nicer out, but winter just won't let go here.

It sounds extremely fun!... but not in those conditions. Do you think maybe they'll reschedule?

That sounds fun!! It reminds me of the Hindu holiday, Holi. ;_;
But yea... the weather doesn't seem right for that type of thing. :0

I don't think they'll reschedule. I've been checking, and so far it's still going to continue.NekoKimio wrote:It sounds extremely fun!... but not in those conditions. Do you think maybe they'll reschedule?
Yep, the run or dye was inspired by that Hindu holiday. That's the exact powder dye they'll color us with.d0kid0ki wrote:That sounds fun!! It reminds me of the Hindu holiday, Holi. ;_;

It'll be cold, but we still plan on having fun and won't let the weather put a damper on our mood. I'm going to be layered up, and with a rain poncho on.

Sound scool although you could risk catching a cold. Is it always this bad around this time of the year?

No. We've been unusually cold this year. The temp is usually in the 60's or 70's by now.

And how much is that in celsius? Well, perhaps we're already approaching the next Ice Age. Over here it has also been unusually cold, even more so for the time of the year.

Re: Run or Dye
during the race it was about 3-3.5*C, but during this time it's usually about 18-20*C. So, you can see how much colder it was. But, it was fine, there were thousands of people there. We all were quite warm, from all the body heat. Also once you start running, it kept us warm. Plus, were lucky, it didn't rain like they predicted. But it was quite a grey cloudy day.
It was sooo much fun. I plan on doing it again next year.
